Dr. Iida-Takashima was born in Seoul, Korea and raised in Hilo, where she graduated from Waiakea High School. Dr Iida-Takashima earned her Bachelor's Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington. She completed medical school at the John A. Burns School of Medicine and completed her residency with the University of Hawaii Internal Medicine Residency Program.
