Our office phone number(s) are being used by callers in money making scams. About Us
History
Dr. Joseph Nishimoto, a General Practitioner, founded Pearl City Medical Associates, Inc. in the summer of 1957 in Pearl City, Hawaii. He was one of only a handful of physicians practicing in the Leeward area at the time. After several years in solo practice, pediatrician, Dr. Edward Kagihara, joined him. Since then, the primary care practice has been steadily growing, expanding in both location and size to better serve its many patients.
In the summer of 1989, PCMA relocated from its 880 Kam Highway location in Pearl City, to its present location in the Pali Momi Medical Center’s Medical Office Building in Aiea. In keeping up with providing excellent medical care to the growing Central and Leeward populations of Oahu, its original team of 8 doctors (5 internists and 3 pediatricians) is now a staff of 11 (6 internists, 4 pediatricians, and 1 nurse practitioner). PCMA looks forward to providing this level of medical care to the present and future generations of patients.
