Dr. Marissa Takase

Dr. Takase grew up in Hawaii Kai but spent much of her childhood with her grandparents in downtown Honolulu and Kaimuki.  She graduated from Punahou School and then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Creighton University.  Upon returning home, Dr. Takase attended the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and completed her residency training with the University of Hawaii Internal Medicine Residency Program in 2018.  She then became an Ambulatory Chief Medical Resident from 2018 to 2019.  Her accomplishments include membership in the Gold Humanism Honor Society and being named Resident of the Year from 2017 to 2018.  Dr. Takase enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
